Other must visits are the Mohammed Bin Salim Mosque, the largest surviving traditional mosque in the UAE and the National Museum of Ras Al Khaimah. This was built in the mid-18th century during the Emirate’s invasion by Persians and was originally a fort that served as the residence of the ruling family until the early 1960’s.
