The museum will house 600 works from the Louvre’s own collection and as well as other leading galleries across France. Stand out works include a 3rd millennium BC standing Bactrian Princess, a 3000-year-old Middle Eastern gold bracelet with lion’s head, Osman Hamdi Bey’s A Young Emir Studying and Paul Gauguin’s masterpiece Children Wrestling. Reach new heights at Etihad Tower
The Observation Deck at 300 is Abu Dhabi’s answer to the Burj Khalifa. High on the 74th floor of Etihad Tower, the Observation Deck offers a full 360 degree view of the city. Don’t forget your camera as you’ll want to capture the gorgeous views. They close at 6pm, if you’re running short of time you could pop into Ray’s Bar and enjoy a drink while you take in the sunset. While the views are not as good as 300 you’re still 62 floors high, which make it a great option for sightseeing in Abu Dhabi in one day.
Finish by the water’s edge
Finally finish your day with an elegant dinner at BOA steakhouse. This chic eatery overlooks the beautiful Eastern Mangrove forest that helps to keep the waterways surrounding Abu Dhabi clear and sparkling. BOA specialises in steak, with various options for different cuts, however there are plenty of dishes on the menu that cater for vegetarians too. Top it off with a delicious dessert, and that’s a busy day of sightseeing done.
